Garden Party raises $100K

The Garden Party Foundation celebrated its second annual Garden Party event on June 13 at the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Bloomfield Hills, featuring food from Michigan’s best restaurants and 100 of the finest wines. More than 500 people attended this year’s Garden Party.

Michigan schools will be first in the nation to use new virtual gardening tools at MSU’s Indoor 4-H Children’s Garden on Friday. MSU Extension, or MSUE, partnered with the Michigan Department of Education to give 20 Michigan school administrators the opportunity to learn how to plant a school garden and then harvest the produce for use in the cafeteria.
