The City of Grande Prairie is considering plans for a community garden to begin next year. The initiative started as a suggestion by a member of the public last March, and since that time the city has been looking into possible locations for the garden and how it could be used by the public.

The Summit County Garden Club recently donated $1,200 to Silvana’s Community Garden in Silverthorne. The Summit Garden Club recently donated $1,200 to Silvana’s Community Gardens in Silverthorne to create a welcoming entrance into the garden by constructing a pedestrian bridge off of Rainbow Drive.
